A founder-built, AI-assisted SaaS that needed stabilization across frontend, backend, and routing — and a clear line between what was broken, what was unfinished, and what was future scope.
The founder had built a fast-moving, AI-assisted SaaS solo and reached a point where it was no longer clear which parts of the product were broken, which were unfinished, which were intentional, and which were simply future scope that had never been prioritized. Marketing, email, and automation flows had drifted out of sync with the product, and some backend routes were failing silently.
We stabilized the systems that mattered most first — API behavior, database logic, and routing — including diagnosing and rebuilding the _worker.js routes behind transactional send-email and scheduled-messages. We completed flows the founder had left unfinished, cleared up business-rule ambiguity around Offers pricing and community invitations, and clarified contact-ownership rules. Throughout, the priority was triage: telling the founder plainly what was a bug, what was unfinished, what was intentional, and what belonged in a later phase, with testing and handoff notes to match. Stripe subscription billing was identified and scoped as future work during this engagement — it was not implemented as part of it, and no product rewrite took place.
