How We Decide

Stop buying the next fix before you know what the problem actually is.

Reported

The stack is a few years oldIt's not built the way a new hire would chooseCheckout breaks under heavy loadNew users drop off during onboardingAuth was patched by three developers who've all since left

Observed

Next — the sequence this produces

2 fixed first. 1 replaced once the evidence above is confirmed. The other 2 — left exactly as they are.

Click Keep, Fix, or Replace — watch reported become observed.

The Assessment

Five business days later, you should know what deserves another dollar.

What you'll know

  • What's already doing its job — confirmed, not just assumed
  • What's genuinely fixable without starting over
  • What actually deserves replacement, and why
  • What to fund first, once the rest is sorted

The mechanics

  • One bounded software product
  • $750, stated up front — no call required to learn the price
  • 5 business days, starting once access/evidence is ready
  • A Rescue Brief and a short walkthrough call

Not included

Implementation, a line-by-line audit or pen test, and a guaranteed root cause or recovery — the brief is a decision, not those things.

Why Zumetrix

We didn't build this after one rescue went well.

New teams often start prescribing before they understand what's actually there. Product Rescue reverses that order — evidence first, a recommendation second, implementation third, only if you want it from us.

RESCUED

One client's stuck product, in his own words

Josh, in his own words

Time elapsed is not a diagnosis. Two years stuck doesn't, by itself, tell you whether the answer is a patch, a stabilization, one subsystem replaced, or a full rebuild. One verified story — not a typical timeline.

Rebuilding isn't the only thing we know how to do. We've operated on more than one side of this.

BUILT

Knipsr — event media platform

Situation

Simple guest experience, real event-day load underneath.

Role

  • Durable background processing for media, with retry & recovery
  • Storage & delivery across Supabase, Postgres, Edge Functions, Cloudflare Stream
  • Caching & performance tuning for gallery load under real usage

Demonstrates

"We could not be happier about working with Zumetrix Labs! What has started as an idea has turned into a really great projekt/product, which only evolved into its full potential through the corporation, ideas, experience, professionalism and openness from our developer."

STABILIZED

Situation

A fast-growing product that needed stabilizing, not rebuilding.

Role

Frontend, backend, and routing stabilized — without a rewrite.

We build. We stabilize. We rescue. "Replace everything" was never going to be our default answer.

The Honest Objection

"If an agency assesses my product, won't they just tell me I need to hire them?"

We don't need to win the implementation for this engagement to succeed — the Rescue Brief costs $750 whether it says "mostly keep it" or "this needs to go."

Our job isn't to sell you the most work. It's to make your next decision defensible.

Three equal branches, on purpose — the brief doesn't favor any of them, and neither does its price.

How It Starts

This should feel easy.

Show us the product

One application. No credentials, no file uploads — just what's actually happening.

We decide if this fits

Standard fit, custom scope, or an honest no — before you pay anything.

We investigate

The real product and the real evidence. Payment and access happen here, not before.

You leave with the decision

A Rescue Brief and a walkthrough — yours, regardless of what you do next.

FAQ

Before you apply.

The free tool is a directional self-assessment — four questions about your situation, answered by you, with no access to the actual product. This is a real investigation: we look at the product and the evidence itself and produce a bounded decision brief. Already used the free tool? This goes further — real evidence, not just directional answers.

Then that's what the brief says. Rebuilding is the conclusion we might reach, not the pitch we start with — if the evidence says most of what you have should stay, we say that plainly, and you've still gotten a clear answer for $750 instead of guessing.

Then we name that plainly too, with the specific evidence behind it — and it's still your decision what happens next. We don't win anything extra by recommending more work: the Rescue Brief costs the same $750 whether the answer is "mostly keep it" or "this piece needs to go." We're not scoring incentives either way.

One software product with one primary decision behind it — even if it has a frontend, a backend, and a few integrations. If your situation genuinely spans multiple independent products or a much larger surface than that, we'll tell you it needs a custom scope before you pay anything, not after.

No. The Rescue Brief is yours. Use your existing team, bring in another company, or ask us — all three are normal outcomes, and the assessment is priced and built to be useful on its own regardless of which one you pick.

We'll say so before asking you to pay anything, and tell you why — either a custom scope that fits your actual situation, or a more useful next step if a bounded assessment genuinely isn't the right tool yet.

Once payment, a short intake form, and access to the product (or the evidence needed to assess it) are all in place — not the moment you pay. If access takes a few extra days to arrange, the clock waits for it.

Tell us what's available before you pay. Read-only access is ideal, but a serious assessment can sometimes work from documentation, recordings, and direct answers to specific questions — we'll tell you honestly if what's available isn't enough to responsibly assess the decision.

No more competing opinions.Just an evidence-backed next decision.
